Residential Slope Stabilization

Residential project that entailed stabilization of just over one acre of property adjoining newly constructed home.  Geotechnical engineering reports stipulated that traditional excavation/stabilization methods were to be used for the majority of the landslide area.  A smaller area of the property located just below the home was found to be more at risk and therefore, it required the installation of wire mesh/Magnum Helix system as shown in the pictures below.

Prior to wire mesh installation, under-
drains are installed.

Magnum Helix anchors are
driven into soil.

Engineer-specified angles must
be maintained.

Continued installation of
Magnum Steel Helix.

Extensions are added to
Magnum Helix anchors.

Installation torque and pull-out
capacities are verified.

Alloy wire mesh is
laid over anchors.

Load-bearing spike plates tie wire
mesh to Magnum Helix anchors.

Wire mesh is anchored by 15
Magnum Steel Helix anchors.
