Customer originally had Marco Concrete Lifting install 2 piers on the front of this 3-story home to stabilize the right corner. At that time there was no indication of slope failure; there was simply vertical settlement. Less than one month later, excessive water runoff caused a major landslide around and below the home. Those first 2 piers actually kept the home from being destroyed by the slope failure. The first picture shows the exposed footer - No excavation was necessary! This homeowner had nearly completed construction on the home when the landslide occured. Magnum steel Piers and Helix Anchors provided a permanent solution to the extreme foundation problems giving the homeowner the opportunity to stabilize the soil without the fear of losing his home.

Original two piers installed with concrete and rebar inside pipe.
One month later, major slope failure.
Even with slope failure, original two piers secured 3-story home.
Soil dropped over 18 inches, and moved over 3 feet horizontally.
Notice original concrete pad on left, in grass.
Major fissure caused by poor drainage and clear cutting.
With no slope stability, earth continued to open up.
60 ft deck was completely suspended and required additional supports.
Exposed footer required the installation of 5 additional piers.
Horizontal movement required Magnum Helix Anchor.
Dual Cutting Edge Helix is driven to required depth.
Anchor is prepped to accept load bearing steel beam.
High strength steel beam prevents lateral movement of home.
Helix anchor used in conjunction with steel piers stabilized home.
